Hello My Friend,
Well the first tourney of the season last Monday was a success. One over par and a pay check of $106.25. That should keep me going for a while!! The VGT (Vancouver Golf Tour) is a very well run tour with some strong competition. It was nice to get into the competitive circle again and get the juices flowing. The course was challenging and I hit the ball very well. I was a little rusty around the greens as I haven't been playing and or practicing as much as I need to. The things I have been working on are starting to show which is nice to see. I feel different on the course this year than I did last. It's a sense of quiet confidence and knowing what I am doing out there.
I have been working on the same simple things for a year now and they are really coming together. It is a good feeling to know or at least think that I know what I am working on. Always going back to the same basic principles working on mastering them as opposed to trying one thing for a week then something else, picking a tip up and trying it for a day, then the next day something else. Balance, basics, target.
The Swinkey business is going well. It is looking like I may be going to the PGA Tour event at Hilton Head to showcase the product to the PGA boys!!! Exciting stuff. It seems like the further we get with the business the more work there is. It is a great challenge and I can see my years spent as a Pro Golfer helping me deal with a lot of the workings on starting a business. One thing at a time.
The Canadian Tour will be kicking off in Mexico on April 12th for two weeks. I don't think I will be going for a couple reasons, and am focusing on the first tournament of the Canadian swing in Victoria. There is a couple events I can play on the VGT tour to gear up for the Victoria Canadian Tour event.
All the best my friend.
Brian
